Warrior Dings 70, Day One

Using full greens tonight (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Illidan&n=Abydos gear has not changed since ding) with the Paladin from my 5's (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Illidan&n=Eloreck), we managed to beat two other teams with full-Merc Warriors and PvE-geared Paladins that hovered around 1700, a feat that I could've never accomplished on a Hunter. Albeit, Eloreck is an incredible Paladin, being a Warrior means I have options. The healing reduction is great, as is having spell lockout on an interrupt. With Blessing of Freedom, being kited isn't a problem.

I took some advice from Dahis (shadow-gaming.com , worldofming.com) and Noktyn's armory and picked up Imp Slam and Imp Demo Shout. I couldn't be happier. Imp Slam is great if I have extra Rage to burn on some burst, and Imp Demo Shout minimizes a lot of damage done by melee classes (especially Hunter pets that were hitting me for 90). While I miss Booming Voice from 60-68, I think Imp Demo Shout goes a long way towards making up the difference. But you didn't come to a Hunter blog to read about Warrior talent builds.

Just know, folks, that the player that many major players called one of the best Hunters in the world (second, in the eyes of some, only to Hamchook) is now having almost as much success as a Warrior in greens than on his Hunter in epics. If this is not a testament to class balance, I don't know what is.

The grass truly is greener, thus far, on the other side. Now all that's left is to wait for Season 3 to deck myself out in S1 gear (from Honor), and in the meantime, grab a PvE weapon and get as many Arena points as possible. I can only imagine how dominant this class's performance will be for me once my gear is on par with my other potential competition.
